mistubishi people will be pleased to know the production class was won by a shortie v6 pajero with a super quik time, only 2 or 3 seconds off the modified class. just goes to show if you want to go fast by a mitsubishi.

I thought so, he told me he was being sponsored for a motorkhana type event. He had to take the front Detroit out though to get his steering back for this type of event.
WELL DONE SHANE !!!!
Cheers, Frank.

What has shane doen to that swb cause in the photos i saw it looked like a stock car and it was in the unmodified class. I know i once saw a swb red paj with twin front shocks doing the little gymkana they had at one of those 4wd shows at the rna once upon a time. Is that the same car?

It has a factory rear locker (front Detroit was removed for this event), 40mm body lift and 35" MTR's thats about it I think. No I don't think it's the same car.
Also his 3.0 V6 has done over 300,000K's and getting tired so it's really a top effort.

i think i saw the same one at the 4x4 show at the rna last year... was pretty sweet. it's a pitty they didn't have the 4x4 track set up this year too.

Shanes shortie has done about 450000klms. not bad. the shocks are the originals and the tyres were those old 604v desert duelers. not a bad effort. the man is a legend in my mind.
the comp was at the speedway, type of pursuit race on a man made track with some bumps and jumps tight corners that kind of thing. I'll be running a few of these next year.
oh and he won a $1000 EFS suspension package. now he can put some good shockies on.

Good effort... I have a photo of shanes shorty only meters from the top of telegraph hill on straddy.. One of the few vehicles that I believe has come close to the top. Considering his car was bought new in 1991 and it was a daily driver for many years its a bloody good effort. Mind you, there not many cars he drives that dont perform 100%.... Its done some miles his truck but has not had any major repairs at all... (even thought he has no bullbar)....

How many of you guys have got these Red Shorties?
I was sure the guy from offroad 2001 was one of you guys on here. He competed in the Standard class in the mud run. I felt sorry for that poor thing. And thats not because i won the class
