LSD or locker for the front???
my rig is a BJ73 MWB crusier and im wondering weather or not to get an air locker or an lsd for the front..... lsd would prolly be cheaper as i wood have to beef up the front axels to take the load of an air locker... but i just can decide...

what size tyres are you running now ?
what do you plan to run
what sorta wheeling you going to do
your only going break piles of cvs if you got some big tyres and/or drive like a dick, you can turn the air locker off for when you dont need it and turning etc

In the Video you have seen Adrian only had an Open front diff with Haultech Electronic Traction Control since then we have fitted an LSD to it and also done some more mods to his Traction Control and it is now as good if not better than a locker.

No as i said it has a Haultech Electronic Traction Control unit that is custom made by the company i work for and Sam(strange rover) owns. It is his design and is only similar to the rover unit in the fact that it controls traction. It is fully Programable and can also have cutting brakes fitted.
There is a write up along with Sams Artical in the latest 4wd Monthly.
It is not Quite ready for general sale but we are working on this flat out at the moment and we will anounce it on here when it is officially available.

Jake,
If you are coming to the weekend, it might pay to hold off untill then before you make a decission!
That way you will get to see how stong Longfields are, how well a locker works, how well a standard lsd works (if anyone is running one) and how HETC (Haultech Electronic Traction Control) works!
You can see how different driving styles have a huge effect on CV's!
Also it gives you a little more time to Save for a locker!

A Mate has a Detroit LSD in the front of his 80 series and it works very well while he has forward motion. Once he stops forward motion it does not work well. Being a Turbo Diesel 80 series with a pre boost, the LSD/ Turbo combination has been known to out do double locked, non turbo 80 series when it comes to hilly terrain.
Its really a matter of what you plan on doing with your vehicle. Personally I'd go the locker but there are also arguments for a LSD.
Cheers
Pete
