I have 2 Cobra race buckets in mine.
The seat base mounts to 32x32x5mm angle that then bolts to the same size angle that is welded to a fabricated bracket at the rear and a 50x50 tube at the front.
The seats aren't adjustable fore and aft as I've stopped growing and my wife happens to be the same height.
If you want them adustable yes it will be a mission.

I PUT A SET OF IMPORT RACE SEAT IN MY 2 DOOR .
I CUT ABOUT AN INCH OF THE OUTSIDE MOUNTS TO MAKE THEM LEVEL, WELDED A PIECE OF FLAT BAR TO THE TOP ( OF THE SIDE I JUST CUT ).
I USED THE SLIDE MECH FROM AN OLD NISSAN SKYLINE AND PERMANENTLY WELDED THEM TO THE ORIGINAL RANGIE MOUNTS!
THE WHOLE SEAT IS STILL REMOVABLE EITHER BY UNBOLTING THE SEAT FROM THE SLIDE OR BY UNBOLTING EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE RANGIE MOUNT ! THE NEW SEATS ARE ABOUT HALF THE WEIGHT AND THEY SIT ABOUT AN INCH LOWER WHICH IS GOOD BECAUSE I'M A BIG BASTARD ! HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ?

i was looking at what i have and i think i will weld a nice bit of thick steel plate over the top of the old seat base and drill my ne holes for the new sliders to bolt onto that. i will also cut the old sliding rails off the old bases. i think that would be a good way to go. hope fully wont be a prob when it goes over the pits.

Once you slide the original seats of the bases, these will bolt in on one side, only the tracks prevent them being a straight bolt in. If you grind the tracks off you are left with a flat base with holes along the length and 2 of these line up with the Alfa seat slides.
