Winch selection help

I'm looking at a 2000kg warn 4500 with wire rope remote control 12V
for my ladys Escudo.
Would this winch be heavy enough for some-one that is not really going to do anything real serious. Its aparently off a land rover and would only be for when we were out by ourselves, more piece of mind than anything. We have a backup hand winch, very heavy duty, pulls cruiser out, but its hard work.

I wouldn't go less than 6000 myself but if you have a snatch block that will help.

I use a Warn 2500lb ATV/Utility type winch. Had it for several years. I had the motor epoxied and baked, and with a snatch block it has never let me down. BUT, I never drive into deep gumbo mudholes unless there is another vehicle to snatch/drag me out.
If the wheels are still turning this winch pulls well without a snatch block.

Thanks guys, gives me something to think about.
The car belongs to a careful lady so I cant see it ever doing much off road.

if its not going off road much, don't worry about the electric winch. just use the hand winch.
reason being that people who hardly ever go off road, will most likely not get stuck, because they are scared and don't realise just how far their forby will get them before getting stuck, so they don't drive in the mud or up the hill!

i've got a M6000.
you have to watch the ATV winch's. as some have plastic gears, which strip easily.
