I am currently trying to source a radiator for a 86 hilux running a 253. It was running a modified 4 core radiator, but with stuff all clearance to the water pump pully. I have had a four core out of a hj45 with the old tanks on it, but is too wide as well. I was thinking of downsizing since i can get my hands on a brand spanking three core landcruiser for cheap. This will fix my clearance issuses but and concered if it will be good enough.

Are you running a triple pull or some thing.if so run twin thermo's or try a v8 xb falcon radiator.

Nah it only has a single pully on the frount plus a fan mount as well bit it runs fark all room between the rad core and the end of the waterpump shaft as it is. It currently runs a single thermo out the frount but i am thinking of switching to twins if i use the three core rad.
