Does anyone have the specs for how far back the exhaust has to finish.

I've been told 6 inches past the last opening window..

Just need to know before i go for a blue slip.

Im sure it is 300mm past the last opening window, then you have to worry about if it is to loud.

They must be more than 300mm past the last unsealed joint in the FLOORPAN (meaning not the sides or doors but this is open for interpretation by some regitering authorities) & cannot exit to the left.

So, would just before the diff centre on a long wheelbase gq be legal???

The floorpan should be sealed the whole way down shouldn't it.

not sure about the rules, but iv got a mate with a 2 door 4 runner, the exhaust comes out just before the back wheel, hasnt had a proiblem with it yet, apart from a letter from the EPA cause its blowing to much smoke.

another mate has a hilux with stacks on it. no problem with that either.
and then another mate had a hilux with stacks and he never had a problem either, but that car has since been written off... and hes getting another one next week, which will also have stacks on it.

I think that would include all drain holes with plugs in them. You might have a couple of them after the rear diff.
