Ironman suspension any good?

I have a GQ that would be intended mainly for touring, some accesories, but nothing heavy duty. I know it is a budget suspension and I'm not expecting a Tough Dog, but from reading I've done I'm concerned with its quality, it seems really poor. Is it true? I believe their main issue is their shocks, am I right?

If asked to setup a distribution center for this suspensions, would anyone bother?

I know of people that have had an alright run from it but my experience is I had two shocks fall apart on me ( both GQ valved) on my 4runner, Basically dumped all oil and jammed before bending the shaft.

Get what you pay for is certainly true.

I wasnt happy with my ironmen kit - but it was on a different vehicle. Way too stiff, ended up breaking a strut.

There will be a lot of better choices around. The Ironman Suspension will not be an itergrated suspension package that is designed to suit a particular application. The Ironman units will be a bunch of individual parts sold to fit a Patrol, and that will be as good as it gets.

There are many better packages around, though they will cost 30 to 50% more they will create better control outcomes and longer fatigue life.

Keep making some phone calls with other brands like EFS, ARB (OME) and TJM (XGS). There will be a lot more thought put into these packages. You will certainly get the benifits of a well set up suspension.

Good luck.
