just got given a water tank to use on the patrol but i can't get the hoses off. Its a hard plastic blue hose going into a hard (gray) plastic connection. Its got a red plastic clip on it like a sir clip. I pulled the clip off and tried to pull the hose out but does not come. Anyone know about these?

Got a pic? Sounds like a "one touch" fitting, in which case pulling the red ring might have stuffed it.

Sound like a push on tube fitting.
Push the red part of the fitting into the gray part, then remove the tubing.
If on the other hand it is hose (not tubing) it may be push-lock hose. The harder that you pull on the hose, the tigher it grips onto the fitting. You will will have to cut push-lock hose to remove it from the fitting.

Yep sounds like Bush65 is on the money. Enzed made me up some of these for an oil intake line on my turbo, I was very concerned about the lack of hose clamps but the guy said he would put his left nut on the line that I wouldnt be able to yank it off. I tried and failed. Snip snip is the only way!
Cheers
