Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just thought I might ask if anybody knows of a good diesel mechanic/workshops in Sydney's west who knows what they are doing and don't charge over the top for it. :shock:

I have an MK SWB with the SD33(T) motor and want to get the injectors, fuel pump etc. checked over. Don't believe there are any major issues as she is still running well just a bit of black smoke on start up and when the foot goes down. Am thinking that the injectors, at around 350k, should be about ready for the workshop.

Have spoken to the big boys like West End and J.C. Diesel and they are all keen but my hip pocket is thinking otherwise.

Any job worth doing on a diesel you will pay for.

West End will do wonders with yor truck, you wont regret it in all fashions.

You may save a few buck goin to Lucky Chows Fish and chip and Injector shop, but what sort of job?

Look at what they managed to get out of the Christie Creation when they worked on that

Yep agreed. But my point was that these guys, who have the big full page adds in all the 4x4 mags, have to pay for it some how. Additionally they don't have a monopoly on the ability to do a good job either.
So was really looking to see if there were any other workshops worth while talking to who may be just as good but don't have the big budget to boot.

I got my injectors replaced at J.C. a while ago, was quite surprised how cheap they were, I was expecting probably twice what they charged. Have they given you a quote?

Apart from the ones you've mentioned, there's Berrima Diesel, but they're not really western sydney...
