Transfer case

Does anybody know if you can swap the transfer case from a 2.6 to a 3.0l?

i don't think you could but really not that sure. out of curiosity why?

Mainly I was just curiour, I thought my transfer case was on its way out. I couldnt find any 3.0l transfer cases but there is 2.6l wrecks everywhere. I was starting to hope that maybe theres a slight chance that they are interchangeable, although I doubt it..

if needed i know where you could get a t/f case from a NH...

You can swap the 2.6 to 3.0 and back the other way.

Thanks, as it turns out the problem isnt my t/f case, it is my gearbox bearings anyway. But thats going to handy to know in the future
