Airboxes...1-1.3

Hey,

Been looking at my airbox and thinking about the differences between a 1L and 1.3L airbox.

1 ) Which is better sealing from dust / water.
2 ) flow rate between the two. (would a 1L box be ok on a 1.3 or 1.6.
3 ) snorkel adaption. (which is easier)
4 ) Mounting, they both seem ok to mount but 1L looks better to mount.

Thanks

Nic

I run a 1.0 airbox with my 1.3.
I chose this because was easier to fit with the body lift.
runs fine, tho you would think a 1.3 would need more air?
early 1.3 and 1.o's had a manual change on the hot/cold air intake.
this is useful, as later ones turn off the snorkle when they want warm under bonnet air.
I preferred the 1.o's water protection, it has a deep bowl, with the inlet high, and water drains thru bottom before it gets in carb.
this may be true fer 1,3 but not sure?
there is pix in a snorkle thread somewhere

I twisted mine up a little, to fit within what I had, so I drilled another drain hole in the bottom.

I used a 1.3 airbox to carby rubber hose, with the end cut off, to connect the carby to the airbox. ( was too close together for a full one) differing diameter at each end rubber hoses are hard to find. Was better for spares to use something zookish. I uses an entire 1.3 carb to airbox hose for the snorkle to air box
