Body lifts...I should have an article up on my website in about a month after I've done mine in a few weeks. Engine mods, I've got a rampod air filter (about 4% more power) and MRT extractors, exhaust (www.mrtrally.com.au) giving me another 10% power. They have other engine mods available as well such as modified cams.

Front end lift, you can simply wind up the torsion bars to a maximum of 2.5" extra lift, which is what I have done, then matched it on the rear with a set of 2.5" lifted springs and new shocks all round.

Check out my site as well as Mikes old site (he's sold the Feroza) at http://www.homestead.com/mikesferoza/feroza.html

Thanks for the lift reply. I've been thinking of a lot of things to do in the future to mine..the 1.6 spun a bearing the first of the year and with the lack of engines at a decent price I had to go with a 1.3 Charade. Talking about a speed demon, lol. From what I've heard the 1.6 is a good engine but they do collect some engine debrie on the oil pump screen, that's what happened to mine. Since then, I have a small round brush I run up into the oil plug hole and run it over the screen when I change the oil, just in case.

We have a Bronco in the states which will be a great donor vehicle for my Rocky. Axles, springs, V-8 engine the works. I'll keep you guys posted when I start the transformation. It should be, "One Bucking Rocky".

Don't know but I broke down in West Virginia on a July 4th weekend about 6 years ago. Everything was closed and I need a new engine pully for my Toyota as the front one fell off.

Ended up being trapped there for four days before I could organise a rental. Picked the Toyota up 4 weeks later.

I remember the highway was a lonely place to break down as nobody stopped to help for over an hour. However, when we did get picked up, the guy went out of his way to help us.

American hospitality at its finest. West Virginians are an outgoing friendly lot.

Cheers,

Carl

I`m not sure what the population of the whole state is, but the part I`m in is pretty rural. I`m currently driving a `91 U.S. Rocky with 194,000 miles on it. Runs and wheels like a new one and have no plans to part with it. I just sold a `92 that my wife drove that was no longer big enough for her and the kids.--JT

So, are you planning on doing any mods....bigger engine, leaf over, solid axle swap ???

Maybe you could meet up with Wayne (Highlander) and run a trip to some tracks to show us aussies what we're missing out on.
We need more pics posted !!! :D

It's nice to see a forum dedicated to the Feroza. I have a '92 model which my Dad gave me just 2 months ago and I'm more than interested in upgrading it. I'm in the Philippines btw, and I hope the members of the forum can help me out in what to do when upgrading a stock Feroza. My dad really took good care on it. It's already 10 years old but only ran 147,000 km total when I got it.

Welcome mate!! Always good to have more Feroza's running around :) If you have any queries at all, just start a new topic and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out, or at least point you in the right direction.

Hey guy's, I got an e-mail from JT, he doesn't live that far from me maybe 2 hours or 3. ..and talking about the odds...Yeah, we'll have to get together when we get our mods done and do some serious 4 wheeling..shouldn't be to hard to find a few rock piles around, to play on, if the "rattler's don't mind" or a few real steep trails to bust, we'll see and keep you all posted. Right now snow is the in thing in just "going anywhere". Keep up the good messages and thanks guy's :)

Excellent :D :D :D

It's a pity that you're getting snowed in. Its gonna be about 40C tomorrow in the Victorian country.......only about 29C in Melbourne. Still hot enough to take the hardtop off the truck !!!

snow!

We'll most of the snow is melting the temps are really warming up it's 37 degrees now so that helps, we're supposed to get freezing rain here today and tomorrow nothing moves in that stuff not even a Rocky....if it's more than 1/4" of black ice..

Chains :?: :?:

Are you allowed to drive around the streets with 'em on :?: :?: Or does it chew up the pavement :?: :?:

Rain....sounds good.....we're in one of the worst droughts Victoria has seen for many many years. All our mud has dried up :( :( Now all the tracks are very dusty......gets into everything.....airconditioning vents, lungs.........
