Where does the water pipe from the Oil Cooler go?

Just installing the new engine (since the last one was terminal) - the new one has an oil cooler - where does the black pipe go? It is the flexible one coming out from the cooler - my last engine didn't have one so I dunno?

Probably best to leave it off or disconnected?

I think the later models have an outlet off the bottom radiator tank that hooks into one side? Check the service manual?

Service manual doesn't have the oil cooler in! Doh! I have electronic and a full hard copy - but they are for the early models, I have a much later model engine putting in now!

Oh well, the joys.... This can be a minor one - I need to get the @#$@ driveshaft back together first!

Did you check the Engine Cooling section? I know I've seen something in either the Engine or Service manual on it.

THanks for that :)

I have no idea why I expected an 'oil cooler' which is hooked to the cooling water loop in the 'cooling' section!

@#$@#$@#$#@#$#@
Where is the logic?

its a metal pipe that runs off of the block close to the oil cooler, and then it switches over to a rubber hose from there. its on the right hand side of the engine (facing it) and there is a plug in the block that you have to pull off. should be listed in the page that david mentioned.
