New at this stuff (mates with gezook) Im intrested in doing this carbie conversion and would be intrested if anyone has done it and how succesful it was as far as econimy and power

If you can get the intake manifold as well it's heaps easier

I was under the impression the carb would bolt staight on no worries.
I will look at geting the manifold as well now thanks for the tip

thanks built 4 thrashin you have some good info on the set up but hows the fuel econimy my vl commy gets the same econony as siggie at the moment (much nicer to drive to ) No good in the bush and mud though :lol: [/b]

the bviggest problem with any bigger carb is you will never get as good economy as the stock smaller carby. the bigger the carby the worse the economy. as ive found with the weber is because it has two throats you can set it to be efficiant on the primary barrel and have all the grunt only when the secondary opens. BUt this is not the best way to have a weber set up. economy with a weber will depend on driving style. but with the noise they make its hard not to wanna open up the secondary
