how did it take 6 hours man thats a long time cv.s are generally done in an hour but as toy said its practice i can do my cv in 30 mins and thats slow to some people no real pointers for it i just leave the circlip off the end of the axle and thats about it. also when adjusting the nut most people use a screwdriver and hammer but sockets are available for about 30 bucks which would cut the time in half aswell, keep practicing

Troy changed a CV and axle on the weekend in about 17mins.... start to finish. I stood back and watched, puffing on a smoke cos if I had of stepped in to 'help' it probably would have taken an hour.
Once you do it a couple of times, it does get quicker! (This is not a sig line quote

)
Cheers,

my biggest problem where the cone washers that was about 1 3/4 hours and about 1 1/4 to press out old ones and clean and press in new ones.
due to not having long flex brake lines it was a nightmare trying to line them up again that is going to change when sus. is getting done
but 17 minutes those cone washers must jump out to be that quick

With the cone washers you need to loosen the nuts off and hit the end of the studs to shock the cones off. And dont be afraid of hitting the studs
