Conversion of 100s IFS to SA

Post by grazza »

Had quite a look for references to this with no luck.

Has anyone done it? Would it be relatively simple if a solid-axle 100's series was available as a donor? (Or even an 80)

A mate is thinking of getting a cruiser but the one he is keen on is IFS...

thanks

Anything can be done ive not compared the the 2 side by side and have contemplated the same mod when i was going to update my missus HDJ80 but ended up deciding to keep the 80 as to chop up a $40000 turbo deisel 100 was not good ecomonic sense. Have done IFS Lux's to SA and they have come up real well .

Find an earlier model 1HZ GXL and spend the extra cash on aftermarket turbo? The 1HZ runs a smaller gearbox tho, R series as apposed to the H series found in turbo/petrol models :)

Another thing to condsider, which may or may not be cheaper is a chassis swap?
Cheers,
Dan.
