I've just bought one, got it for $52 off ebay. Do you need to pack it with grease before you put it in?

Take it somewhere to get done, they shouldn't charge much labour. Mine was about $20-$30 to fit. Just thought it wasn't worth the hassle of me getting dirty compared to paying that much

allrighty just done it myself,
Take off the 4 bolts that hold the rear shaft to the main shaft. Pull these apart, then take the bolt of the end of the shaft it's a 24mm i think, . It'll have a little lip you need to straighten with a screwdriver first. Then take the washer off and pull the old centre bearing off. Put the new one on and tighten. Thats it. Put it all back together the same way you found it and wallah. Oh and don't forget to mark the companiion flanges b4 you pull em apart (The bit the 4 bolts hold together)

Let us know how you went with instalation. Just got myself one from ebay for $48.00, was thinking whether or not to do my own as well. Have had a couple of quote's for around $60 to fit it but was told you need a press so that's why I havnt tried it yet, dont want to pull apart to find that out. For $60 I'm just thinking of taking it to mechanic but $60 is $60 I could save. Regards Steve M

really?? It took me about half an hour to change it? $60!! noway dude do it urself, You don't need to take the whole shaft out. I dropped the centre bearing, then just used a metal pole to lever the socket to get the nut off. It puts a bit of stress on your uni joint tho..

Just lock the front hubs, put in 4wd and in 1st. Maybe try to punch up the nut where it has been nocked down to stop it coming undone. Should all come off pretty easy. Just did mine on Monday. Pack all inside with grease around the rubber to stop water getting in. Will last longer that way.
