A-FRAME MOUNT EXTENSIONS

I heard of a bloke who did a backyard A-frame extension to his Rover that it was the best thing since sliced bread but was a major pain to do.!

Then I heard from another mate that he was looking to import one from the UK that was all geometrically correct, and corrected the diff angles etc. for a 2 inch lift.

This seems like a great idea because it would correct the pivot points back to factory tolerance with a 2 inch lift and ease the strain on your rear CV or plate and if everything else is 2 inches lower why shouldnt the A frame mount be as well. The beauty of the "import" is that it is also a straight-out bolt on mod. But the question is has anyone had any experience of A-frame extensions or any feedback on this?

i have heard a rumor that mal storie,

makes longer "balls" for the a-frame, for lifted vehicles.

hope that helps. ;)

Check with Andrew at Les Richmond Auto, he supplies A-Ball bolt on relocation kit.

Just check if your ball joint actually binds on drop, as i've found mine doesn't with a 3" lift.
I'm sure you'd need it with 4" or bigger.
It'd be a waste of money if your joint doesn't suffer.
