its got no engineers so im thinking the price is about right or prob a bit expensive. He would be better parting it out i would guess.

I wouldn't call that cheap for a very old MQ without an engineer's cert.

Its not too bad if it's what you want. The 5 speed and gas makes it a little more appealing.
If it's got a few things wrong with it then that is probably the top level of what its' worth.

I'd still be interested in swapping my GQ for a V8 engineered 5 speed QLD regoed, mechanicallly sound, rust free, MQ Shorty on gas.
Lets be honest - shorty V8's rock.
As such I dont see that it's an unreasonable price. However there's a significant difference between engineered and roadworthy and unengineered needs work.
When it's listed as "needs work" it could be a barely together poorly assembled misaligned heap of shit that keeps breaking things due to a bodgy assembly job.
I've seen quite a lot go for similar or lesser prices - it's damn hard to offload V8's and 4bies due to fuel costs at present, and a modified unengineered v8 4by would be like trying to get rid of a case of the crabs.

I have had mine out on the HWY where my dad inlaw lives, Ive had a heap of lookers and one rang and test drove it... Funny thing though...an MQ SWB with lifted springs, body lift, and 35in Claws is not going to drive like a HSV Commodore, lol,,, I think he shit when it started to follow the road camber on our crappy HWY out of wagga. HOW can I stop that from happening, shits me too.
