Thomas PTO winch drive onto HJ75

When i brought my car it came with a used thomas PTO winch and drive, 2nd hand but not yet fitted.
It seems like i've got all the pieces, but i'm not entirely sure where/how it all goes. The actual winch should be reasonably easy to mount - it's the drive i'm having trouble with.
Anyway i'll descrive what i've got:
Winch
Am i correct in thinking the top of the photo is the front? I can't see any other way. Also, is the input shaft (on the left) meant to be on the top or underneath the winch? It seems i can rotate the housing to have the drive either top or bottom.
Drive:
I've got no problem attaching the PTO unit to the transfer case, it's more the shaft i'm puzzled by. One problem i see is that it has "60s" written on it, suggesting it's meant for a 60 series.
I'm also not sure which way it's meant to go.
(A)
With a uni at the PTO (rear of car), bearing on PTO side, or
(B)
With a uni at the winch and the bearing on the winch side.
Either way, i have no idea where the bearing should mount. Distance wise, it seems like the only reasonable place is on the inside of the chassis rail - but it looks like the engine mount will be in the way of the shaft.
Also, where is the shaft meant to come through at the front of the car? It seems like i'm going to have to trim the panel underneath the grill at least.
Well hopefully someone has done it all before and can help me out! Also if anyone has some pointers for mounting the winch in a newish style ARB bar , it could be really helpful!

(P.S. I asked a similar question a while ago and someone named Milo PM'd me offering some help. Unfortunately i lost your number Milo, i didn't mean to be unappreciative of your offer!)
