GQ Gearbox Rebuild and Clutch Replacement

My gearbox is coming out tomorrow of my 94 GQ Coil Cab, 203 000kms to fix a gearbox noise that I am experiencing when the ute is idling in neutral. The box sounds like it is making a bearing noise, when depressing the clutch the noise stops. I'm hoping for a shagged input shaft bearing or clutch. The clutch was replaced on the ute at 160 000kms and has done little 4wding since then. If the box needs a kit put through it, how much dollars am I looking at and how much for a heavy duty clutch kit? The ute is now turboed
Cheers

probalby cheaper to replace the box with another one with low kms
rebuilding your box will just cost too much i believe.
for clutch - i recommend direct clutch as they do a good kit.

Don't know about the box, but I just put an Exedy Safari Tuff Heavy Duty clutch into mine. Cost me $525 in Melbourne and I put it in myself - (bitch of a job - never do it again...!)
I assume that yours is diesel? (turbo'd so I assume so...). There seems to be a marked difference in price between petrol and diesel.

I was quoted to put a bearing kit through the box $1800, is this reasonable or am I getting burnt?
