1) what would people use as their tube buggy A) Chasiss off another truck
B) Build arond the running
Gear and engine.
2) Where can i get designs of some tube buggies? ( I know there was a post about my second question but i couldn't find it)
Cheers

Ok with you're experience, no offence you probably not ready to undertake such a project.
i have dreams of tube to, but i dont have the skill to undertake such a project, even noticing my own flaws doing my current hilux buildup
But if you are keen, have a look at what roktoy did, he used a stock frame and welded tube to that, and would be the best looking toy buggy/truggy out there

You could talk to Trail Craft they have buggy frames on the go I believe in your area or I am sure would give you some sound advice.

Went to the site you should get the picture go there they say they will consult with own design.
They do a chassis from about $5500. More experienced here will tell whether or not this will save you heart ache and or money.

the question is what do you want the tube buggy for ?
bash around your paddock on private property ?
comps ?
afaik you can only enter the XRCC at this stage with a buggy , all other comps required you to be road registered, the only other place you'll be able to legally drive it is on your own land,
its a big investment for something your not going to get to use much
hell id kill for a tube buggy, but with nowhere to use it they are pretty pointless

True, but i'm just scheming so that after i get a bit more experience that i will have all my inf ready. Also by doing a tube to chassis sort of design i can start tubing little things and gaining more experience as i go. Something licke rock toy is along the lines of what i was woping to do.

It wont need to be rego'ed as i have a property in goulburn that i can use it on. But now that i think about it a bit better i will probably want to keep it rego'ed to start with. And then i could enter into a few comps.
