Ive been told same thing, about swifts, too, but I dunno either. Will be looking into that, as the old 1.0litre steering wheel is very uncomfy.
And a bit big now with p/steer.

This is going onto a 1.3 but 1L could be the same wheel. Mainly looking buying a sports wheel and aftermarket boss kit.

I had a 1.3 steering wheel on mine for a while, till owner wanted it back, it is the same boss, but the 1.3 was more comfy, thicker and had a better horn.
My mate put a sports wheel on his, even with power steer, he found it too small to turn the 32's easily, so thats why he took his 1.3 wheel back...sod him
Go to a wreckers and measure, or lend a wheel and try it on.
