diesel black smoke on heavy acceleration

Hi,

When I step on the gas heavily, a tiny puff of black smoke comes out. Apart from that, there is no smoke what so every. Would this be considered a "normal" diesel engine feature? Its from a 89 landcruiser with 12HT 4.0 turbo diesel engine.

yes its very normal. you gotta expect that when you drive a turbo diesel!
