ABS on an NL
Can anyone tell me how the ABS performs on the slippery stuff in the bush and what is the most effective way to isolate it, if and when required.

In my experience ABS off road is not good at all when your sliding around, have had brakes not work twice because of it. Either pull the fuse before you start, or install a switch after the fuse to easily disable it.
