Air intakes for chevy on a GQ Nissan

Has anyone out there fitted twin air intakes/snorkles to a LT1 in a GQ Nissan.
After disconnecting the snorkle while on a dyno run I found quite an increase in HP - therefore indicating a starvation of air. So I would like to fit twin snorkles or have the air sucking in through the cabin and no air filters
Comments please

If I remember theres a few comp dudes that found a fair wack of KW increase by just removing the ram head of the snorkel...
Twin snorkels would be fine... but finding one that fits on teh drivers well is the mission

I have heard that on a GU you can fit a modified Toyota snorkle on the drivers side.
Not sure about the GQ model though

Larry,
Talk to Mike Graham (09 570 6969) or Howard Nattrass (09 836 4909) about twin 3" stainless snorkels as per HERMIN.
Cheers
Mitch

Run a single 4" and sink it into the front guard.

There are a few guys running twin snorkles on a GQ. All of them are custom made items though. Just remember that two 2inch pipes will not flow the same as one 4inch pipe.

Interesting two 2" pipes give 6.28sq inch area, one 4" pipe gives 12.57sq inch area and two 3" pipes give 14.14sq inch area.
What would the internal dia of a Safai snorkle be ?
Mitch, thanks I am emailing both Howard and Mike on this subject too
