As it says running a 9500 low mount premier was just wondering if all the winch manufacturers are useing the same motors ie bolt patterns and shaft sizes dose anyone no

Duncan cant answer your Q directly, but I don’t think upping the HP of the motor is going to help u much, as u are not winching a lot of weight. Whats the weight of the zuk 1000kg? and with the style of winching that I think u are doing the 9500lb winch probley isn’t working that hard any way so going a bigger motor isn’t going to do much for u. What I think u need is a smaller winch. Looking at the warn book I have, theses are the speeds in meters a minute, and load is 2700kg, slowest to fastest

Warn

M12000 = 2.10
XD9000 = 2.64
M10000 = 2.89
M8274-50 (high mount) = 2.89
M8000 = 2.98
M6000 = 3.00

So the M8 and M6 are the 2 fastest, but the M8 draws 115 less amps at the above load.

Like I said doesn’t help u directly but give u something to think about

yes it'll fit (providing it's a warn or warn spec motor)

Seems crazy that the 6000 is faster than a 9000 but there you go anyhow its only for one comp so we will wait and see what happens

Its all in the gearing, no good having a monster V8 if u are stuck in first all the time.
