Long time lurker first time poster
Have read all the posts on what people have their TD42 turbos set at but am interested to know where these boost figures are taken from.
I have a garret turbo and large top mount intercooler, currently boost reading taken post intercooler reading 13psi is this figure in all reality around 15psi that would be pre intercooler?

Why not check bothe sides, then you actually know how efficient your intercololer is in regards to pressure drop.
To be hones most manufactures pick up boost measurement after the intercooler.

After the IC went on the Boost pressure droped around 2 - 2.5psi so I allready know what the difference pre and post pressures should be.
Just wondering where everyone else takes their readings from.

To get a better picture of whats goin on, you should have b4 n after ic temps n pressures. b4 LOOKS better for pressure but worse for temp., while after LOOKS worse for pressure but better for temp. This assumes that the ic is actually cooling the incoming air charge. Most advertised/quoted pressures will b before the ic, it LOOKS better.

you often lose 1-2psi of boost because the air cools down... doesn't mean it will run worse. If you have added it yourself, nake sure you get it dyno tuned to suit.... makes a HUGE difference!!
