Outer Limits 4x4 Board

gday guys 1st post,though i wish id known about this site 6 years ago.

Anyways,ive got a 5 speed EL3 1992 and ive noticed over the last few weeks the check engine light has been coming on when the engine is under heavy load eg going up hills.

I only use her for fishing trips know but if its something thats going to be detrimental to its life span id like to fix it.

I dont have much of an idea wat could be wrong but i know its not the engine tune as its tuned for 91 but only run 95ron min.

Hi, have a look in the FAQ post and download the HD-E Engine manual and Service Manual. These will show how to read the fault codes for the ECU.

Also check out the thread in there on oxygen sensors and check to see if your's is earthed OK.
