There were a number of details, most of which revolved around the engineers certificate. For further info, see Germo on the weekend.
The hoops have been jumped through, and the car is now ready to roll.

have to put welded rear back in, window nets, bat isolator, fire ext, winch switch, winch negative.
but hey thats all minor stuff.
its going to be a great weekend and I'm getting a bit nervous!
saw a few guys heading out that way, when I was travelling home from work! I should be there about 1 - 1:30, just in time to scrutineer!!!!
heres what it looks like now.
enjoy ashley!

ah nice pics!
yeah just got home about an hour ago. its nice to be so close to a comp!
didn't do too badly for a first outing. equal 7TH
equal first for mystery night stage and bog hole. picked up a bit of cash for that!
only broke one cv. on frame twister
pope front shaft apart, bent xfer arm, busted xfer mount, bent rear track bar on the all terrain!
100 pionted mine wirraba.
got 85 on rocky horror because of a time out while winching the water fall and bonus line at once. so that plan didn't work. ie get 100 plus 50 bonus and would only have lost 5 points for a reverse and 25 for a winch!
of course if I had of done this better and that better, I would have gotten alot higher.
but I was wanting a top ten and pulled an equal 7. not bad for the smallest truck there! and my first drive in 18 months
ps thats all tech, so no winging
ps ps if anyone has pictures of my rig can you message them to me or email me at
a_germon@yahoo.com
because I couldn't take pictures while driving

Well done dude!!!!!!!
Loved the thought that went into what you were doing as opposed to pedal to the metal stuff
Oh and get some wheel spacers!!!!!
I was very impressed!!!!!!

thanks, i cant afford pedal to the medal, it breaks too much stuff and you also end up with the car in the wrong spot.
but when I got stuck on the frame twister I got a bit angry and ended up breaking a cv!
yeah the tyres on the springs got me a few funny looks and had the commentators confused all weekend, one second they think its the cvs, the next they think its the springs!!!
I have an ifs hub kit, just didn't have time to put it on the car!

thanks guys.
have had time to think about weekend. and I'm pretty happy with the result. but could always do better.
have a few things to sort out. xfer ring needs to go in. plus a flat belly so I don't get stuck as much and it will winch a bit easier!
the rear track bar needs fixing so I don't have to take it easy, and some stronger cv's as well!
but the car felt very stable and had enough power to do what it has too!
am looking forward to more time in the bush now!!
so redzook, layto and anyone else close, let me know when you guys are going out and I'll come for a drive!!
enjoy ashley

Mate you had a blinder congrates you thought about what you were doing and it worked for you. You deserved the position you came.
Just goes to show you don't need the biggest truck and spend the most to be competitive.

Considering that it was the first real time you've driven that chariot, I'm stoked for you, you certainly did well, especially against alot of the high capital units.
Time to bring it up the farm.....we'll have a bash.
Heres a few simple shots....
Cheers, and congrats,
