I have access to some GQ diffs from a burnt Rb30 TRoll , will the centers be usaable or will the heat have stuffed them? paint is burnt off but oil is still good.

If the oil is still good I reckon there's a good chance the centres would be unharmed. How are the brakes, bearings, etc? can you turn the axles freely?
Mark.

i think the centers and cvs should be pretty well protected in there but i dont know what sort of temps start to affect hardening od crownwheel etc.

I pulled a remote transfer out of a burnt mq and stripped the transfer down, i found that there was oil very lightly coated to the inside of the housing, i cleaned it all , but i think it was a waste of tome as the seals were still good. Most the heat was in the body of the car, so i would gess that the diffs will be ok.

by not not
Id change all the rubber seals ie' pinion seals and oil seals as they would melt pretty damn quick
