Gday i just got my f78 rocky and the car is great but when i go faster than 90 its gets really loud with wind noise, sounds like it comes through the sun roof and the doors near where the miorrors are located. any one else get this problem or have any remedies for it?

turn the radio up

or buy mud tyres

Seriously though, they are no limo but I would try the obvious and look at the window and sunroof rubbers, etc to see if they are shrunken or loose (or missing). What is happening is that at speed, the low pressure zones outside the windows and sunfoof are sucking them open and unless the inside rubbers move to close the gaps, you get noise. Hence if the rubbers are compressed, or don't fit properly, you get problems.

Other than that, there is no really bad noise in my rocky, just the engine trying to get out of its box above 110.

you can also try bending the window frame towards the car a bit at the front. Do this with the WINDOW WOUND DOWN.

Also check the tension on the sunroof clamps and see if you can bend something a bit there.

chev 28 i have checked all the rubbers and they all look good, ill try doing some bending. have you done this with some success?

Also what sort ecconomy do you get? because i filled up a few days ago and ran out of fuel this morning and only got 430 kms from 60l of hwy driving. does 3000rpm @ 110kms sound right?

I have done on other cars. Try driving along at 90 until the noise appears and press gently outwards against the suspect areas to see if it gets worse.

You can usually bend the window frames a little by hand to get better sealing but not too much.

Can't help with the engine as I have an old petrol F75 which pulls about 3400rpm at 100k's

Cheers
