Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all,

After a heater hose let go on me I've decided to give the cooling system an overhaul.

Whilst the rad is out, I'm putting in a thermo.
What temp should I have it kick in? Going onto a G13BA, no engine mods.
The thermostat opens at 82, and fully open by 95. Would 95 be the correct temp?

I want to put in one of those temp switch things, but not the Davies Craig ones that are adjustable - have heard they are not so great. (actually I read it on here!) Yes - it will have an overide switch.

The thermo should give the mice inside a bit of a rest occasionally!

I have my electric water pump running flat out at 95deg and if it still needs extra cooling the thermo starts up at 100deg. I have the craig thermo switch i didnt know they were duds.

U want it set higher than your thermostat so it does not run all the time, only when needed.

I had just read that there are better ways of doing it, some other form of thermatic switch.

Guess I'll be setting it for around 100 and keeping a close eye on how it goes.

It says 96C on it and it screws into the radiator where the drain rooster normally is.
I bought it from Ebay for $9.50.
I also have a 3 position switch in the cab so I can set the thermofan to
ON-thermatic switch-OFF demending on my needs

That will be handy to someone when the search in the future. Better than spending $70 on a davies craig one and its fool proof.
