Gear Changes

Just wondering what RPM everyone changes their gears at??
i used to change around 3k - 3.5k but i was sick of being so slow at the lights
and now i change around 4k - 5k
we are talking normal gearing in 2H on a flat surface...just interested to see the responses

1.3L motor hits max torque at around 3100 - 3400rpm... so around this would be the best gear change area... well, i reckon =)

7500 each gear is needed to get the 1lt going

Cluffy, you cant be running a standard carby on that 1ltr. I cant get mine pass 6000rpm. I change at 5000rpm, that drops the rev's back to about 3200rpm after the gear change. Im running 30" tyres.

the 30's would be the problem... wesley on these forums has driven next to me in like 2nd gear down hill at 80km/hr doing like 10,000rpm... lol the poor engine was backfiring and all sorts, but it had no issue getting up there.. hehe
