Exhaust pyro??

Hey guys, just wondering what is the best distance to set the pyro up from back of the turbo??
Ross, do you have any info on this??

theres usually a threaded bung in the exhaust housing for a pyro

Yeah if only, mine is a custom 3" dump pipe that I have to drill into for the sensor.

I have mine about 5-8cm from the housing, but I think it should be as close as physically possible to it.
In an ideal world it should be before the turbo, much more accurate.

us Landy 300Tdi drivers are spoilt as we can use the EGR blanking plate above the turbo to drill and tap.
Remember that 720*C is pretty much the acceptable limit pre turbo, or around 550* post turbo.
