I have been chasing a vibration on my 110 and while checking the Uni Joints for movement i noticed the front output shaft has some play in it.
Whats involved in tightening it up?
I will have a read through my workshop manual but any help appreciated..

I have a bit of play at the diff end. I assume the play is in the bearing. I am waiting till i get my 4.11 and then I will replace the bearing.

From memory, so I may be wrong (it has been a while).
There is no adjustment for the bearing on the front output shaft. There is a bearing in the front of the output housing and the inboard end of the shaft is supported by the side gear in the centre diff. Could be play at either of those.
There are spacers to adjust the preload of the bearings for the centre diff. But that should not affect the front output.

Thanks for the reply John.
The movent is not causing a vibration thats the uni's fault but i just happened to notice hoo much slop there is in the front output.
I guess i'll add it to my to do list.....
