Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Im looking at fitting a roll cage in my mq swb,my brother has an alloy cage going into his and he's offered me his one piece roll bar that fits behind the rear wheel arches.Id like to get another made the same to go behind the front seats and have them both joined together at the top.I can fit this once i have the RWC done but i may do an engine upgrade (v8) later on and im concerned that this might make things hard for me when i go for the engineers cert .The roll cage would more than likely have to be done by an engineer yes ?
I have heard that you change ya seats can have an effect also.
What are your opinions on this matter ?

Rules regarding rollcages can be tight but do it right and ya laughing....
1. Cages MUST be attached to the chassis..... floorpans, wheel arches, parcelshelves, aren't considered structual points... bolt em to the cab/chassis mounts & ya home and hosed!!!!.(people with cars stuff this up all the time !! )
2.All barwork must have a "padded protective material covering" and barwork is not to intrude into the areas "normally required" by human torso,limbs,& head.
3. Cages generally aren't an engineers requirement but rules vary from state to state...check that one in your state. My experiance is ...so long as it "looks profesional in design,mounting, and construction" then no probs !!
4. With an MQ ya laughing... cause you can fully weld the cage up in the vehicle, many fail this because they arent welded on that bit just under the roof lining..... too hard to get to !!!
5.Barwork is not to impead with the normal entry/exit points of the vehicle in any way.
6. Seat changes shouldnt be a prob so long as you use the original mounting positions and the seat is of an approved standard.

I nsw if you change a seat in your car i.e. replace an existing one with a better one you do not require a engineers cert. however if you get someone else to fit it for you you do.... work that one out?
