if you've got a coily i have the same problem i found that the front bushes in the trailing arm which connects onto the diff will be worn either that or your uni jointr may be at different angles can be alot of things...
easiest thing to do is jack the car up start it and put it in gear.
be carefull it don't fall

Yes, a transmission place will always find a problem with the transmission. But did you also get the brakes checked !!!
Background: I took this car for a drive yesterday, wouldn't vibrate at all for me, tried everything to load up the drivetrain. The bearings were only recently done and no play at all. Had me stumped until I applied the brakes to stop and let a passenger out, brakes grabbed a little, small noise. Then driving off the front had a distinct rattle at low speed.
AHA it might be the brakes, so I tried a simple test to see how effective the brakes were, at 70kph on a deserted country road, moved to the middle of the road and applied the brakes for a rapid stop. Holy Shit !!! lucky I moved to the centre of the road, and had both hands firmly at 10 to 2 on the wheel. The bloody thing swerved, the back let go and gave that wonderful feeling of takeoff followed by bounce luckily not flipped. this was no stupid manouvre, no more than braking for a red light or vehicle changing lanes. It felt like there was only one wheel being braked (and bloody well at that).
