MQ petrol dash light problem -all of them!

Anyone have an idea what is happening here? The engine fuse is good and will kill the engine and fuel pump if removed when running, but nothing related to the dash works like all the red light, blinkers, tacho everything is dead, i suspect the alternator is dead also.
Where/what do I need to look at, it seems such a broad problem the solution must be easy??

Different fuse? Battery going flat?

Thanks heath,
Battery is good enough to start the car still. Dont know about another fuse if there is one I cannot find it. Buggered if I know, must be something typical to take out so much but still leave the engine and fuel pump running.
Not sure where to start possibly the ignition?

I would suspect that it would be an earth problem to the instrument panel for it to cut out so much. If it was on the positive side it would more likely to be selective on what may not work. Maybe the plug has fallen out of the back of the panel?

Thanks Johno the idea makes sense although I probably wouldn't have thought of it, will look for earth faults this weekend.
