IFS rears cheap and nasty? Dilema

Hey well took my hilux down to the suspension place bout the front sagging and he blames the front leaning to the drivers side because the back is f**ked. He reckons the IFS rear setup i've got in there at the moment is cheap and nasty and that I should take it out.
Ok so the delima I have is I've got 3 options.
Option 1: Keep the IFS rears and extended shackles in and take the right hand one out and get him to reset to make the back even and effectively lieft the front drivers side back up to where it should be.. $60
Option 2: Put another set of IFS rears in that i've got at home. $0 but whats to stop the same thing happening?
Option 3: Put my old 2" heavy duty 8 leaf pack (rides like it has no suspension!!!) back in, be good for towing the boat and the handbrake would work again.. $50 for new bushes etc..

Have the same problem with mine. Apparently its due to the driver getting too much air

Check which end is sagging by jacking the car up at each end. (hate to state the obvious but use flat ground) Use the tow bar first and when the back wheels just clear the ground see if the front has equal distance to each corner of the bumper/bullbar. if not the front torsion bars have died ( you can wind them up a little) Then reverse the process for the rear using the front crossmember. Just make sure tray is empty of usual work (or play) gear while doing this. might prove/disprove your specialist.

I went to ARB at Moorebank probably about 6 months back to look at some of these OME Dakkar Leaves. I noticed that when the leaves sat beside each other one of them was taller than the other. The guy that i spoke with told me that they do that to make up for the fact on hilux's the driver side of the car is carring more weight- fuel tank and always a driver- i dont know if this bloke was having me on or what but you might wanna jus swap the leaf packs around and see what happens....
Just a thought.
I jus put a set of IFS leaves in the rear of mine and everything is fine.

for my ifs rears, i spent a lil time playing with the packs etc, on the drivers side i think i have added a extra leaf or two to buld the pack up a bit cause it carries 100kg or me and 70l of fuel.
i got rid of both the over load leaves and have the first 2 std rear leaves then a extra 1 or 2 then the ifs ones that are bundled together.

he said something bout the pack trying to split because of the shackles and the "sway" the vehicle gets. I was thinking of just getting an extra leaf added to the drivers side but he said something like you'd have to do it to both and that he would reset the drivers side higher. But I dun like spending money on resetting springs seems like a waste of money to me cos I personally reckon there just gonna sag back to where they were before in a couple of months hey!

I wouldn't take too much notice of the 'experts', they probably don't see too many high flex setups go thru their shops. That said, if you have 8" long shackles on the rear they will put a lot of load onto those flat leaves so the springs will probably sag out pretty quick if you carry weight in the back. If you don't want to replace your spring regularly, then you will have to sacrifice some flex and shorten the shackles/ add more springs to the packs. If you do not have a ladderbar then get one asap they make a big difference to spring life.
