Most conversions I have seen were done by cutting the triangular bit of the stock manifold and welding on an adapter plate.
Dont know of any other manifolds.

Why change??
I had 2 Rangie with the standard carbies before my 92 and they were trouble free. They ran a bit on the rich side, but I never tuned or touched them whilts I own both these vehicles ( 75 and 84 Rangies 3.5's).
All I know is Holleys are a dicey bloody thing and I only know a couple of people who have then that work. If you find someone that knows his shit about Holleys you are better off spending a bit and having it run well off-road.
Best of luck,

If it ain't broke, leave the bastard alone!!!

Hi Guys,
I removed the efi from my car and fitted an Edelbrock manifold with an adapter and quadrajet carby. I know most people would not agree with this but I suggest they have not tried it. The car always starts easily, has more power and acceleration and is far more economical. An aftermarket efi system may have the same results but for maybe 3 times the cost. No flooding on hills and if the motor stops running due to the angle it is on the car has probably rolled anyway. I have used a carter afb on a landcruiser chev 383 and that ran ok as well but is harder to come by. The new edelbrock carbys sold by performance wharehouse etc are the same but you can pick up a good quadrajet for $100 (try ebay) and spend a little money on new metering rods etc. I can easily work on the motor now as it is no longer cluttered. The only problem may be clearance for the air cleaner but a little thought will fix that.

I have to agree with the quadrajet, I have one on my Rangie (350 Chev) and it is great. Mine was $20 off a VB 308 Commodore. It uses about 1/4 the amount of fuel the old Holley 650Dp used and no loss of power.
