Bio Diesel Switching

Hey All,
I want to test/try to run a WVO (used filtered cooking oil) in my 2.5 TD pajero. I want to used a small tank to start with as a test but Can not find a cheap valve to switch between diesel and the WVO on the run.
I don't want to spend heaps on the valve as i may not run it after testing and dont want to waste money.
Any ideas on what I could use?

Manual or solenoid?
How much is too much? I bought a stainless 3-way ball-valve with teflon seals for $30 from industrial fitting sales at rocklea.

what exactly is wvo? is it home brew?
i run b100 and b50 without any dramas if your worried about your engine?
almost blows no smoke at all on the bio. quite good stuff

Want to try filtered waste (used) cooking oil.
This will be heated to make it more viscuos before injection.
Was thinking electronic valve of some kind.
Only think I foung suitable so far was on ebay for 160 buck, If i remember correctly. Seems to high to test it.

Why electronic? the valve I mentioned is a panel mount type, just need to drill a small hole in the floor out of the way somewhere (but easy to reach), then mount the valve underneath the floor, with the know of the switch in the cab. But the company I mentioned would sell solenoid valves as well.

Can i just ask what you are using, or planning on using to heat the WVO before it reaches the engine?

WVO must be heated so that it has low enough viscosity, otherwise you can get wax/fat deposity in the lines and injector pump, which isn't a good thing. All WVO setups I have seen run a heat exchanger in the WVO tank, and most have heated fuel lines.

Plan is to run second tank with WVO. It will be heated by hot engine water that will run along the fuel supply line (And return along it as well) Just imagine a 3 core hose. If I set up a full time system I will fit the second tank that will have a coil inside to heat the fuel in the tank also.

The valves that you see on the sites, some of the prices are bit much for some but you can get a good idea on spec from your local industrial supplies.

Yeah, i knew this, i just asked WHAT ppl use to heat em
Like what dorphin said about piping your engine water round in it. I was hoping sum1 had found a simpler way. I was thinking about the fuel saver device they advertise at repco, its supposed to heat the fuel at the enjectors for a better burn, and when i get round to it will find out how much they heat it. Might be able to use it for VO.

Sorry, read it quickly. Cooland water is the simplest method. You really need to fit a heat exchanger to the WVO tank too, I wouldn't like heating a whole tank of fuel by another method.
