Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey, Do all 1L front clips have the plastic light inserts? I have a 1L front clip i plan to run drover lights in maybe (look and mounting pending, do i need to run the insets or could i just paint inside that area to make it look ok?

Anyone know how much these are to buy, or do they look easy enough to make out of an old grill. (cut those bits out).
