Hey guys,
i have a 92GQLWB and have been told you can just unbolt the front sway bar to gain better articulation!
Is this true? can this affect the geometry of the car? dose it drive any different on road?
Basicually is it worth doing?

Cheers, ToMMo

Mines an '89 "poverty pack" TD42 LWB. It didn't have a front swaybar when I bought it, and I'm not even sure that it ever had one.

Certainly can't complain about the articulation without the sway bar, but as to how much improvement you'll get I can't comment - I'll leave that to someone more experienced.

Removing it will make it different to drive on road as it wil be prone to more body roll (translating to understeer at speed).

Unless someone has an opinion to the contrary, I say remove it and see. If you don't like the way it handles, you can always bolt it back on.

removing it will increase flex a fair bit, it will have more body roll on road though. ive removed both from my GQ

Buy a set of disconects from Snake racing and you can have the best of both .

Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!

Heaps better offroad, and a bit more body roll on road, but hey it doesn't corner like a Porche with it on anyway!

It is not that bad to drive without em. To the best of my knowledge the RB30 patrol didn't even have a front sway bar fitted from factory. ;)
