Hello all,

I'm making a soft top for my MQ and I'm after ideas or designs for attaching the canopy to the roof.

I'm specifically after pics from those with them fitted and tips from those that still retain the capability to fit the old hard canopys.

Thanks Guys.
The more pics the better.

Zer0,
I've seen those two pics. I think they belong to Screwy and Dr Frankenstien.

Thanks but I'm looking at closer pics for what I'm after.

Rockrover,
I know what you mean and I've thought about that myself. My old FJ40 had a soft top and the front of it fastened to the front of the windscreen. The sides, however, had to be slid into a channel to be held into place. Check out the pic. I think these things are used on boat canopys too.

Cheers

Are they press studs all the way around Screwy? How did that go with rain?

yes press studs all the way around. it never leaked in once while the car was parked.

Good old annexe track does the job. My top is for sale if you want it! cost $500 to be made. Who-ever wants it can have it for say $150 + postage but thats with no internal poles. Postage would be around $30 anyware in AUS
