thermos or clutch fan

ok i hav read the bible and it hasnt answered my qs ...is it more efficient and quieter to run thermo fans? twin or single? on a l24 petty i own a 85 mk 4sp and the fan had been pulled appart and teck screwed so the clutch wasnt workin on further in spection i found the fan to b rooted....ok heres the worst the fan being teckied together must hav develloped to much rpm and the water pump pully that bolts onto the fan has now shattered itself to pieces literally just tore the pully apart and left me stranded half way up a rutted steep track a fair ways from home i was goin to just buy a pully and fan from the wreckers but now im thinkin the thermos may b a better alternative ne1 who nows how to hook them up give e sum advice n pics it would be much appreciated ....thnx in advance Bourkey

p.s. IMHO, the tech screws probably put your old clutch fan out of balance, and destroyed the water pump pully rather than the RPM thing.

The thermo's for sure. I oput em on my TD MK and am super happy with them. My clutch fan is still good but it isnt as good as the au twin thermos. A perfect fit for the MK radiator as well.
