I don't know much about the new Kumho, but the STT and the Claw are different tyres for different applications. Search for Claw and you'll see some of the recent discussions here.
To me, the STT is an excellent tyre for moderate to hard offroading (as classified in paper publications - not by OL members

) and it's a great touring tyre. The Claw is a more extreme tyre, more aimed at hardcore offroad, and less of a tourer.
Where do you want to go?

I'm still really happy with mine.....awesome grip in all surfaces....the only problem I can see with them is poor mileage...as they are pretty soft.....

.....and smoke well. (you left this bit out Dave

)
As Scott mentioned, the STTA3 is a different application. Great tyre for it's intended pupose. Drives really well on the blacktop and provides good traction off road for moderate tracks and touring.
The Claw and KL71 are more aggressive patterns and are designed for the more adventurous trails. Onroad they aren't quite as nice to drive on as the STTA3. Dollar wise the KL71 is cheaper than the Claw, but will give you less mileage.
