mq camber adj.

I have an 82 MQ sd33, recently I sheared a centre bolt on the passenger steer side. I got another, alinged the leafs in the pack and installed the bolt, which was identicle to the one removed, bolted the wheel back on....
500km later, if that, I have noticed bad wear on one side of the tyre.
I changed the tierod ends in that time but wheel alingment isn't a problem.
I think it might be camber, is it possible to adjust wheel camber on a MQ?
Perhaps the (kingpin) bearings on the hub have something to do with camber?
Please help!!

Live axle cars are factory set for camber, If your camber is out chances are you have bent the axle tube. Did you check the wheel alignment after the tie-rod end change, or just assum that if it drives straight it is okay. It is possible to have dodgy wheel alignment, but still drive straight. Incorrect toe will wear a tyre unevenly across the tread face. Get the wheel alignment checked, and you will find out whats going on.

as said first check the diff, why did you break the bolt> loose u bolts, hit a cutaway etc, if you have loose bearings there will be play in the wheel, jack it up and see, but I would put my $$ on the diff being bent

You can get adjustable kingpin bearings I believe to help with the camber settings. It might have one installed if you have not owned the thing from new. Take it to a 4x4 specialist / truck alignment shop and get them to give it the once over.

you can get camber bushes as such that sit inbetween the swivel hub and the stub axle where the disk brake backing plate is that corrrect it.
mine had one on one side from factory, i have since removed it, i get wear on the edges, just need to adjust the toe in....
you really need to just take it down for a proper wheel allignment and ask them to check the camber and toe in to see whats up.
