Underbody protection plates

I am looking to make some underbofy protection plates for my XL-7. It has IFS (lucky me) and I keep smashing the plastic electric plug for the front diff engaugement, and I have bent the transfer case crossmember....so what I want to do is run a plate from the bottom edge of the bullbar (ECB Alloy) to the front crossmember, then a second plate from there to the transfer case crossmember.....

What thickness plate is requried and what is the best way of attaching it as it will run from fron chassis rail to the other....and I need to get it off to change the oil......

Also, seeing as I am asking questions, what is the best way to mount a winch...no-one makes a winch bar (or a steel bar for that matter) for an XL-7 and I want to make my own winch cradle up to mount behind my alloy bar (ECB Big Tube).

Also running with the idea, Rocks usually not a problem, more afraid of loose timber / logs jamming up and going thru radiator or fuel tank.

Thinking i will move bullbar forward to fit the winch, and then use 2mm steel ( have 2 sheets out back) as a guard to protect from teh bull bar to behind radiator. and maybe put sime across from the rear of the front springs, to cover the rear tank.

Not too stressed if i dent it, just concerned with shit being caught up. where as steel will slide.

I guess who has done it. what sort of weight penality is it due to being pretty low, just afraid of deep mud and suction affect.

And ideas on how to mount.

ppls thoughts comments bitches arguements on why not to do it, or do it

Did search, hence why i found this post.

Give Graeme @ Suzisport Springwood a bell... 38087637

Dunno if he's seen one on a XL7 but would say there's been plenty of Vits through his door with em.
