lifting a tray

G'day all, am pulling the tub of my LUX and building a tray for it. To get the tray higher do i need to use certain material for lift blocks, so it is legal?

I've seen solid aluminium body blocks used to raise a ute tray..

if your building the tray, i cant see why you cant just make longer attachment arms for it........
